We have been informed that unauthorized access by a third party has been detected in “TEMAIRAZU,” the reservation management system used by our hotel. In connection with this incident, phishing messages impersonating hotels or booking websites have been reported via WhatsApp and other messaging applications.

MUNI KYOTO will never contact guests via WhatsApp or other messaging applications to request reservation confirmation, re-entry of credit card information, urgent payment, or similar actions.

If you receive a suspicious message, please take the following precautions:

  • Do not open or click any URLs or links contained in the message.
  • Do not enter your credit card or personal information.
  • Do not reply to the message.
  • Do not make any payments or transfers as instructed in the message.
  • To verify your reservation details, please contact MUNI KYOTO directly or the booking website through which you made your reservation.

If you have entered your credit card information on a suspicious website or made a payment or transfer, please contact your credit card issuer or financial institution immediately.

We have also been informed that, to date, no leakage of credit card information or other such data has been confirmed from the system affected by the unauthorized access.
